RTU Telecommunications Institute at international conference "ICTON 2013" in Cartagena, Spain

Cooperation results between RTU Institute of Telecommunications and Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) was presented at the „15th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON 2013)” that was held in Cartagena, Spain, during June 23 - 27, 2013.

„International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON) is one of the major scientific events in Europe and it gathers telecom engineers, researchers and representatives of telecom enterprises who are dealing with optical networking from all around the world.
Aleksejs Udalcovs a researcher from RTU Institute of Telecommunications had an invited talk at this conference titled “Spectral and Energy Efficiency Considerations in Mixed-Line Rate WDM Networks with Signal Quality Guarantee”. This research paper includes scientific results which were obtained, processed and polished in cooperation with Optical Networks Laboratory (ONLab) research group from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden).
„ICTON 2013” was organized by the National Institute of Telecommunications, Department of Transmission and Optical Technologies in Warsaw, together with the Department of Information Technologies and Communications of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, and the IEEE Photonics Society Poland Chapter. Such strong organizers and participants indicate the high-scientific level of „ICTON 2013” and its importance for engineering sector.
It is worth mentioning that papers submitted, accepted and presented during the conference will be indexed by IEEE Xplore Digital Library, SCOPUS and Web of Science.
