RTU Telecommunications Institute at international conference "SOPO 2013" in Beijing, China

RTU Institute of Telecommunications  presented latest scientific research results at “International Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics - SOPO 2013” that was held in Beijing, China, during May 23 - 25, 2013. 


„The International Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics - SOPO 2013” brings together top researchers from Asian Pacific areas, North America, Europe and around the world to exchange research results and address open issues in all aspects of Photonics and Optoelectronics. Basic research directions of the conference are laser technology and applications, image processing, optical communications, optoelectronic devices and integration and medical and biological applications.

This year conference was organized in collaboration with Peking University (China), University of Dayton (USA), Institute of Semiconductors  (China) and other universities.

Scientific personnel of RTU Institute of Telecommunications at this conference presented the following research results:

  • Oskars Ozolins, Vjaceslavs Bobrovs, Girts Ivanovs - „Cascadability of Uniform Fibre Bragg Grating for 40 Gbit/s RZ-OOK to NRZ-OOK Conversion”.

Selected papers will be published in open access peer-reviewed Optics and Photonics Journal (OPJ) which have been tracked for impact factors by Thomson Reuters (ISI) and indexed by Academic Journals Database, Academic Keys, Academic OneFile, Base-Search, etc.

Accepted and confirmed participation of researchers from Institute of Telecommunications at the „SOPO 2013” conference clearly demonstrates and once again proves that research efforts performed in RTU Institute of Telecommunications are fully in line with the latest European and world research trends in sector of telecommunications and fiber-optic transmission systems.
