RTU Telecommunications Institute at international conference "SPIE Photonics West" in SF, USA

Institute of Telecommunications of Riga Technical University, Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications presented latest scientific research results in „SPIE Photonics West OPTO 2014”, that was held in San Francisco, California, USA, during February 1 - 6, 2014.

SPIE Photonics West 2014 is the largest and most influential event for the laser and photonics community in North America with 20,000 attendees, two exhibitions, 1,250 exhibiting companies, 4700 papers, 17 plenary and hot topic presentations, 40 special events and 70 courses.
SPIE Photonics West OPTO conference included many actual topic areas like optical communications: devices to systems, green photonics, optoelectronic materials and devices, photonic integration, nanotechnologies in photonics, advanced quantum and optoelectronic applications, semiconductor lasers, LEDs, displays and holography.
RTU Institute of Telecommunications presented invited paper covering latency sources and reduction methods in fiber optical transmission systems:
This research is already included in SPIE Digital Library which contains approximately 350000 SPIE Proceedings papers, 20000 high level SPIE Journal articles in areas of electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science and electronics.
