Fiber optical transmission systems laboratory

Our Fiber Optical Transmission Systems Laboratory offers wide possibilites for scientists and engineers to research any optical transmission system such as WDM-PON, TDM-PON and more.

FOTS laboratory is equipped with 33 GHz analog bandwidth 80 GSa/s sampling rate per channel digital signal anlyzer, 25 GHz analog bandwidth 65 GSa/s arbitrary waveform generator, amplifiers, passive optical elements, power and wavelength meters, and more.

Scientists and engineers are able to perform research using industrial infrared microscopes and a variety of optical, electro-optical equipment.

Laboratory is equipped with pneumatic vibration isolation system honeycomb optical tables with Benchtop Stepper Motor Controlled X, Y, Z piezo, micro-positioners.

Plexiglass sliding door enclosure for humidity and dust control and high-resolution optical spectrum analyzer allows performing highly sensitive and high-precision investigations

The fiber optical transmission systems laboratory of RTU ComTech at the RTU TI has a well-developed infrastructure, interconnected laboratory premises, and owns a wide range of modern electrical optical and electro-optical equipment, which is constantly being upgraded necessary for the successful realization of the ongoing and planned research activities and Projects in partnership with local and international partners.
